Took it on a muddy trail hike and the weave still feels as solid as the day I got it, no fraying or stiffness after a good rinse. The climbing-rope braid gives it a nice grip that's easy on my hands even when my dog lunges after a squirrel.

Water beads right off the DWR coating even in a downpour, and the rope weave feels sturdy without being rough on my hands. My pup's pulled a few times and the leash hasn't frayed or stretched one bit—solid buy.

The DWR coating actually sheds rain and mud like magic — took this out on a wet trail walk and it wiped clean with one swipe. It feels like a real climbing rope in your hand, tough but not stiff, and the weave hasn't frayed a bit after daily use.
